School Council
The mission of the school council as appointed by the Pastor of the parish is to consult the Principal and the Pastor in areas of finances, school enhancement, policies, development and strategic planning. The council is composed of elected, appointed and ex-officio members.

PURPOSE & AUTHORITY OF SCHOOL COUNCIL
Section 1: The Council shall be consultative to the Principal in all school matters for which the Principal seeks the Councils advice and expertise.
Section 2: The Council shall give advice to the Principal and the Pastor on financial matters concerning the School.
Section 3: The Council with the Principal shall formulate and monitor the school’s budget.
Section 4: The Council shall formulate and propose written policies. The policies are designed to further the mission and goals of the school and are subject to the approval of the Pastor.
Section 5: The Council shall continually monitor and evaluate the effectiveness and feasibility of its
policies.
Section 6: The Council will research, develop and communicate for itself and the school.

Parent - Teacher Club
The PTC's main objective is to "Foster a closer union between home and the school; between parents and the teacher, and thus to promote the best for our pupils attending SHS". Members may be elected and / or appointed. Parents are encouraged to attend monthly meetings and teachers are available.

The purpose of the PTC is to coordinate programs to enhance Catholic Education in the homes and school at Sacred Heart School by the following means:
- To promote the welfare of Sacred Heart School by strengthening the relationship between the home and school;
- To promote parental rights in education by providing and coordinating legislative action on behalf of Sacred Heart School;
- To provide educational programs for parents;
- To serve as a conduit of information to the public at large regarding Sacred Heart School; and
- To be a resource for fundraising opportunities.
MEMBERSHIP
Every parent and teacher connected with Sacred Heart School is a member and is expected to participate. |
